Rewrite a Blog Post
for Readers and Rankings

Give Sprites a URL or a draft. It cuts the filler, fixes the structure, adds what the ranking pages cover and rewrites the prose so it sounds like your team, then stages the update in your CMS.

What this template does

This template is a rewriter, not a detector-evasion trick. Sprites does not promise to fool AI-detection tools, and we would not trust a page whose only goal was to pass one. What it does is fix the reasons a post reads as machine-made or stale: repetitive sentence rhythm, hedged generalities, sections that restate the heading, missing specifics, and an outline that no longer matches what Google ranks for the query.

The run starts from the live URL or a pasted draft. Sprites reads the post, checks the pages currently ranking for its target keyword, and works out what is missing, what is outdated and what is padding. It then rewrites the post in your brand voice, keeping the facts, quotes, links and the URL intact, and shows you a before-and-after so you can see every change before it goes live.

Because the SEO agent is connected to WordPress, Shopify, Webflow and custom sites, the rewrite can be pushed straight back to the original page after you approve it. Titles, meta descriptions, headings and internal links are updated in the same pass.

Inputs and outputs

What you provide

  • The post URL, or a pasted or uploaded draft (Google Docs, Word, Markdown)
  • The keyword or question the post should rank for, or let Sprites infer it from Search Console
  • Your brand voice: a style guide, a few posts you are proud of, or a short description of the tone
  • Optional: things that must not change, such as product claims, legal wording, quotes and affiliate links

What you get

  • The rewritten post with a change summary: what was cut, added, restructured and why
  • A refreshed outline that covers the subtopics the top-ranking pages share, plus one they miss
  • Updated title, meta description and headings, with the target keyword placed naturally
  • Internal link suggestions to and from the post, drawn from your own site
  • The update staged in your CMS on the same URL, published only after you approve

How it runs

  1. Step 1

Read the post and its competition

Sprites loads the page, identifies the target query, and compares the post to what ranks for it today: coverage, depth, format, freshness and the questions readers ask around it.

  2. Step 2

    Diagnose

It lists what to keep, what to cut and what is missing, and calls out prose problems: uniform sentence length, empty transitions, claims without specifics, and sections that exist to hit a word count.

  3. Step 3

    Rewrite in your voice

The post is rewritten with your tone guide applied, facts and links preserved, and specifics added where the original was vague. Protected passages stay byte-for-byte.

  4. Step 4

    Show the diff

You see the old and new versions side by side with the change summary. Ask for a lighter or heavier edit, or lock a paragraph, and Sprites revises.

  5. Step 5

    Republish on the same URL

After approval, Sprites updates the page through your CMS integration, keeping the slug, canonical and publish date history, and refreshes the metadata and internal links.

Frequently asked questions

Does this bypass AI detectors?

+

No, and we do not claim it. Detectors are unreliable in both directions, and Google has said it rewards helpful content regardless of how it was produced. Sprites rewrites for readers and rankings; better prose is a side effect, not a way to game a scanner.

Will the rewrite keep my meaning and facts?

+

Yes. Facts, figures, quotes, product claims and links are preserved, and you can mark passages that must not change. The change summary lists every substantive edit so nothing slips through unnoticed.

Does rewriting an old post risk losing its rankings?

+

It can, if the rewrite drops the sections that were earning traffic. Sprites checks Search Console for the queries the post already ranks for and keeps those sections, adding coverage rather than replacing what works.

Can it republish directly to my website?

+

Yes, on WordPress, Shopify, Webflow and custom sites through the Sprites integrations. The update is staged on the same URL and goes live only after you approve it in the review card.

Can I run this from Claude or ChatGPT?

+

Yes. Through the official Sprites MCP server you can paste a URL into Claude, ChatGPT, Grok or any MCP-compatible assistant and get the same rewrite, diff and CMS publishing flow.
