What this template does

Newsletters slip because every issue starts from a blank page. This template starts from your material instead. Sprites reads what you published or shipped since the last issue (blog posts, product updates, a case study, an offer, a webinar), plus anything you paste in, and decides what deserves the lead, what becomes a short section and what can wait. Then it writes the issue in your voice: an opening that earns the scroll, sections with one idea each, and a single primary call to action.

Subject lines are treated as the highest-leverage sentence in the email. You get several options written to different angles (curiosity, benefit, specificity, urgency without fake deadlines) with preview text for each, and a note on which one Sprites would send and why. Length, tone and structure follow the goal you set, whether that is nurturing leads, keeping customers engaged or driving a sale.

Sprites writes the newsletter; it does not send it or manage your list. The draft is delivered formatted and as plain text for your email platform. On a weekly or monthly Autopilot, Sprites gathers the period's material and has the draft ready on schedule, so the only work left is the edit.

Inputs and outputs

What you provide

  • The goal of the newsletter and who reads it
  • Material for the issue: links to recent posts, product updates, offers, or notes you paste in
  • Your voice: a style guide, two or three past issues you liked, or a description of the tone
  • The primary call to action and any secondary links to include

What you get

  • A complete issue: opening, sections with headings, a primary CTA and a sign-off
  • Four or five subject lines with preview text, each written to a different angle, with a recommendation
  • A formatted version and a plain-text version ready for your email tool
  • Suggested image placements with prompts, and generated images if you ask for them
  • A short note on what was left out and could anchor the next issue

How it runs

  1. Step 1

    Gather the material

Sprites reads the links and notes you provide and, on Autopilot, checks your site for anything new since the last issue. It lists candidate items and proposes the lead.

  2. Step 2

    Structure the issue

Items are ordered by relevance to the goal and reader: one lead, a few short sections, one CTA. Anything that would dilute the issue is set aside for the next one.

  3. Step 3

    Write in your voice

The issue is drafted against your voice guide with concrete sentences and no filler. Each section makes one point and links out once.

  4. Step 4

    Write the front door

Subject lines and preview text are written to distinct angles, checked for length and spam-trigger wording, and ranked with a reason.

  5. Step 5

    Hand off

You review in the thread, ask for a shorter version or a different lead, and copy the final into your email platform. Sprites does not send it.

Frequently asked questions

How does Sprites make a newsletter more engaging?

+

By starting from material readers care about, leading with the strongest item, keeping one idea per section and one call to action, and writing subject lines to distinct angles rather than one generic headline. Engagement follows relevance and clarity, not tricks.

Can I control the structure and style?

+

Yes. Give Sprites a past issue you liked or describe the sections you want, and it follows that template each time. Tone comes from your voice guide, and you can lock phrases or a sign-off that must not change.

Does it connect to my email platform?

+

No. Sprites drafts the issue and delivers it formatted and as plain text; you paste it into your email tool and send from there. Sprites does not send email or manage subscriber lists.

Can it produce the images too?

+

Yes. Ask for a header image or product visuals and Sprites generates them in your brand style, including product photos on new backgrounds, sized for email.

Can I run this from Claude or ChatGPT?

+

Yes. Through the official Sprites MCP server you can ask Claude, ChatGPT, Grok or any MCP-compatible assistant to draft the issue from the same material and voice profile in your Sprites workspace.
