An SEO Audit That Ends
With the Work Done

Sprites crawls your site, reads Search Console, finds what is holding rankings back and turns it into a plan ordered by impact. Then it starts on the fixes, with each one staged for your approval.

What this template does

Audit reports are where SEO work goes to die: three hundred issues, no order, nobody assigned. This template produces the audit and the plan together, and then does the plan. Sprites crawls the site, checks technical health, on-page signals and content quality, pulls Search Console data to see which pages and queries actually carry traffic, and reads the live results for your most important queries to see how you compare.

The plan groups findings by root cause and ranks them by traffic at stake and effort. A missing canonical on one template that touches four thousand pages ranks above a slow image on the about page. Each item says what is wrong, which pages it affects, why it matters and exactly what to change.

Then execution starts. Metadata, headings, internal links, content refreshes and schema are applied through your WordPress, Shopify, Webflow or custom site integration after you approve each change. Code and server fixes come with instructions for the developer. A monthly Autopilot re-audits, reports what moved and updates the plan.

Inputs and outputs

What you provide

  • Your domain
  • Search Console connected, so findings are weighted by the impressions and clicks at risk
  • Optional: Google Analytics 4 connected, for engagement and conversion context per page
  • Optional: the queries or pages that matter most commercially, and two or three competitors

What you get

  • Technical findings: crawlability, indexation, redirects, canonicals, duplicates, speed and mobile issues, grouped by root cause with page counts
  • On-page findings: titles, descriptions, headings, internal links, images and schema per template
  • Content findings: decaying pages, cannibalization, thin pages, and gaps against competitors for your key queries
  • A prioritized plan with owner, effort and expected effect for each item
  • Fixes staged in your CMS for approval, and a monthly re-audit on Autopilot

How it runs

  1. Step 1

    Crawl and render

Sprites crawls the site the way a search bot does, rendering JavaScript, reading robots directives and sitemaps, and recording status codes, canonicals and metadata for every page.

  2. Step 2

    Add the performance data

Search Console and GA4 data is joined to the crawl, so every finding knows how much traffic sits on the affected pages and which queries are slipping.

  3. Step 3

    Check content against the SERP

For your key queries Sprites reads the live results and compares your ranking page with the winners on coverage, format and freshness.

  4. Step 4

    Write the plan

Findings are grouped by root cause, ranked by impact and effort, and turned into a plan with a clear first week, first month and quarter.

  5. Step 5

    Execute and re-audit

On-page and content fixes are staged through your CMS for approval. Developer items get exact instructions. The audit re-runs monthly and reports what improved.

Where teams use it

  • Taking SEO in-house

Replace the agency audit and the quarterly deck with a living plan the team can approve item by item and watch get done.

  • New sites and migrations

Catch indexation, redirect and canonical mistakes in the first week instead of discovering them in a traffic drop three months later.

  • Ecommerce

Find the template-level problems that hit every product and category page, and fix them once through the CMS integration.

  • Agencies

Run the audit for every client workspace on a schedule, with white-label reports and client approval on each change.

Frequently asked questions

How does Sprites decide which issues to fix first?

+

By traffic at stake and effort. Findings are grouped by root cause, weighted by the Search Console impressions and clicks on the affected pages, and ranked so that a template-level fix touching thousands of pages comes before a cosmetic issue on one.

Does the audit cover both technical and content SEO?

+

Yes. Technical (crawl, index, redirects, canonicals, speed, mobile), on-page (metadata, headings, links, images, schema) and content (decay, cannibalization, thin pages and gaps against the pages that outrank you for key queries).

Does Sprites make the changes or just recommend them?

+

It makes the ones that live in your CMS: metadata, headings, internal links, content refreshes and schema, each staged for your approval before it goes live. Server and code changes come with precise instructions and are re-checked after deployment.

Can I get recommendations specific to my industry?

+

Yes. Tell Sprites what you sell and who buys, and the content part of the audit compares your key pages with the ones ranking in your category, not a generic checklist.

Can I run this from Claude or ChatGPT?

+

Yes. Through the official Sprites MCP server you can start the audit from Claude, ChatGPT, Grok or any MCP-compatible assistant, read the plan there and approve fixes with the same gate as in the app.

Will this replace my SEO agency?

+

For most teams, yes. The audit, the plan and the execution are the core of an SEO retainer, and Sprites does all three with your approval on each change. What stays with you is judgment about the business and the goals.
