Intercom is the most-purchased AI Support Bots vendor in Ramp's October 2026 AI category data. 46% of buyers in the category chose it.
And Intercom does not advertise Intercom. On Meta it advertises Fin, on fin.ai. 1,550 ads since October 2025, and only 77 of them land on intercom.com.
1,550 ads is a lot. Underneath it sit 25 distinct creatives. The rest is the same ad, copied.

Part 1: The brand it does not advertise
Every ad is a Fin ad
The Meta page is called Intercom. The ads are for Fin, Intercom's AI agent, and the product has its own domain.
| Where the ad lands | Ads | Share |
|---|---|---|
| fin.ai | 1,347 | 87% |
| pioneer.fin.ai (event replay) | 126 | 8% |
| intercom.com (pricing ROI calculator) | 77 | 5% |
I counted twelve different headlines across 1,550 ads. Every one of them is about Fin, or about an AI agent. The company that got famous for the chat bubble has stopped asking for clicks on it.
The 46% Ramp number explains why that works. In Ramp's October 2026 AI category data, Intercom is the most-purchased vendor among AI Support Bots buyers. When the brand already wins the category, the ad budget goes to the product that is growing.
25 creatives, 1,550 ads
Meta groups ads that share one creative into a single family. Intercom has 25 families. The median family holds 27 ads. The biggest holds 465.
| Biggest creative families | Ads | Share of 1,550 |
|---|---|---|
| Family 1 | 465 | 30% |
| Family 2 | 313 | 20% |
| Family 3 | 144 | 9% |
| Family 4 (Pioneer replay) | 126 | 8% |
| Family 5 | 93 | 6% |
| Other 20 families | 409 | 26% |
Five families are 74% of everything Intercom has launched. Volume of ad objects, not volume of creative.
The 821
One line does most of the work. "See why Fin is the #1 AI Agent", over the body copy "Fin is the best-performing AI Agent for customer service, powerful enough to resolve even the most complex queries like refunds, account changes, technical troubleshooting, and more." 821 ads. All of them go to fin.ai/built/for-support, the main support page.
That is three creatives, run 821 times. A new ad object here is not a new idea. It is the same idea in a new audience, placement or budget bucket.
Part 2: The ads churn, the creative does not
Three days
1,429 of the 1,550 ads have ended. The median one ran 3 days. 820 ran 3 days or less.
The creative under those ads lives a median 110 days. The ad object lives 3.
Short, and I think it is deliberate. When the ad object turns over every few days and the creative underneath stays put, you are watching a testing machine that rotates audiences or budgets through a fixed set of messages. The winner is not killed. Its container is.
| Month | New ads |
|---|---|
| June 2026 | 383 |
| July 2026 | 237 |
| August 2026 | 176 |
| September 2026 | 97 |
| October 2026 (to the 13th) | 169 |
June was the peak at 383. 201 ads launched in the last 30 days. 243 are live now.
Video leads, and the biggest claim is all video
947 video ads, 603 image ads. The #1 claim is all video: 821 of 821. It plays clean: a wordmark, a sentence, a line of small text. No stock, no faces.
Part 3: Account-based marketing, on Meta
Five landing paths contain "drlp" and end in "-abm". That is the naming of a landing page built for a named list of accounts, not for the open feed.
| Account-based lander | Meta ads | Asset behind it |
|---|---|---|
| /drlp/2026-customer-transformation-report-abm | 144 | Customer transformation report |
| /drlp/integrations-salesforce-abm | 93 | Fin inside Salesforce Service Cloud |
| /drlp/gartner-ai-agent-renewals-abm | 33 | Gartner survey on AI agent renewals |
| /drlp/cx-quality-guide-abm | 24 | CX quality guide |
| /drlp/demo-insights-abm | 7 | Demo and insights |
301 ads. 19% of the account. I cannot see who they are aimed at, but the paths say what Intercom is doing: running enterprise account-based campaigns inside a feed most people use for photos.
The offer changes by buyer stage. A report for the reader who is still forming a view. A Salesforce integration page for the team already on Service Cloud. A Gartner renewals page for the person who bought an AI agent and is worried about the renewal. Same product, three different doors.
Same assets on LinkedIn
The same assets run on LinkedIn, at about half the Meta volume. 825 ads: 606 single-image, 214 video, 3 job ads and 2 follow-company ads. 199 say "See why Fin is the #1 AI Agent". 123 offer the report, 120 push "See your savings in seconds with Fin" (the ROI calculator), 117 say "Fin outperforms every time", 113 say "The AI your support team needs" and 93 run the Gartner "AI Agent ROI Reality Check".
| LinkedIn ads with a destination | Ads |
|---|---|
| fin.ai/built/for-support | 202 |
| Account-based landers ("-abm"): report 88, Salesforce 63, Gartner 48, CX guide 8 | 207 |
| fin.ai/roi-calculator | 74 |
| pioneer.fin.ai | 14 |
| intercom.com | 0 |
497 LinkedIn ads show a destination. 483 go to fin.ai, 14 to the Pioneer site and none to intercom.com. 207 of them, 42%, go to the account-based pages, a much higher share than on Meta's 19%. Same message, aimed more at named accounts.
Part 4: Verticals, an event and a calculator
Vertical landers
| Lander | Ads |
|---|---|
| fin.ai/solutions/financial-services | 34 |
| fin.ai/built/for-ecommerce | 30 |
| fin.ai/built/for-fintech | 13 |
The copy is written for the vertical, not swapped in. The financial services ad promises accurate resolution of "card issues and transaction disputes". The ecommerce ad names "missing items and fraudulent orders". 77 ads, small next to the 821, and each one narrower.
Pioneer 2025, replayed
126 ads, one video family, one lander on its own subdomain. The copy: "Catch up on all the major announcements from Pioneer 2025 - like the launch of Fin 3 - plus our vision for the future of AI customer experience."
The event was last year and Intercom is still paying to show the replay. It is cheaper than making new creative, and the event already did the persuading.
An ROI calculator
77 ads push "Try our ROI calculator" to intercom.com/pricing/fin-roi, the one place the ad stream touches the Intercom domain. A further 4 go to fin.ai/roi-calculator. The ad itself shows a calculator, with the output on screen.
Part 5: Google still sells Intercom
Search is where the brand name comes back. Intercom has 1,795 Google text ads across 46 regions, the oldest first shown in March 2023. 1,475 of them (82%) land on intercom.com. 319 (18%) land on fin.ai.
| Google headline | Ads |
|---|---|
| Intercom: A Better Alternative | 125 |
| Fin. The #1 AI Agent | 102 |
| Ready to Upgrade? Try Intercom | 94 |
| Intercom Fin: AI Support Agent | 45 |
| Live Chat for Websites | 31 |
Look at the first and third rows. "A Better Alternative" and "Ready to Upgrade? Try Intercom" are written for someone searching a competitor's name. One description reads "Intercom has everything they have, plus everything they don't." That is conquesting, and it sells the Intercom name.
The split is the point. On Meta, 5% of ads land on intercom.com. On LinkedIn, 0%. On Google, 82%. Someone typing a query already knows to look for Intercom. Someone scrolling Instagram or LinkedIn has to be introduced to Fin.
What actually makes this work
The product has a name and a domain of its own, so the ad never has to explain the company. Fin is the thing in every frame.
The creative budget goes to 25 ideas, each run at scale. The three-day ad life is a test rig on top of them. If you only count ads, Intercom looks like an account that launches a hundred things a week. If you count creatives, it is a small, disciplined set.
And the landers do the segmenting. A report for the browser, Salesforce for the integrator, Gartner for the skeptic, a calculator for the person with a spreadsheet open. Nothing on the ad changes the claim. The page does.
