The creative volume formula
New concepts per week = live concepts / lifespan in weeks. Then add a few, because most new ads will not win.
| Live concepts | Lifespan | Needed to stand still | With test headroom |
|---|---|---|---|
| 6 | 3 weeks | 2 a week | 3 a week |
| 12 | 3 weeks | 4 a week | 5 to 6 a week |
| 15 | 2.5 weeks | 6 a week | 8 a week |
Only a small share of new ads ever become winners, so the headroom column is the honest one. Pick live concepts from how many Meta ads you need, and lifespan from your own data or the 2026 lifespan.

Why it has to be weekly
Andromeda exhausts a winner's audience in weeks. A monthly batch means two weeks of every month running on fatigued ads.
A batch of 20 ads once a month looks efficient and performs badly. Half of them go stale before they launch, and the account runs on tired winners while it waits for the next batch. A weekly drop keeps something fresh in every ad set, every week. That is the core change Meta Andromeda forced.
What the weekly batch should contain
Mostly new angles built from last week's winners, plus one or two wild cards.
- Iterations: new executions of the angle that is winning now. A different hook, a different messenger.
- New angles: a problem or promise the account has not tried yet.
- Format spread: video first on Reels and Stories, with statics and carousels for feed. Check sizes in the Meta ad specs.
- Hooks you can steal: patterns from real ad hooks that fit your product.
Questions
How many new creatives should I test per week on Meta?
Divide your live concepts by their lifespan in weeks, then add a little headroom. Most accounts spending $1,000 or more a day land at 3 to 6 new concepts a week in 2026.
How many ad creatives does a small budget need per week?
One or two new concepts a week is enough under $100 a day. Each ad needs spend to prove itself, and small budgets fatigue more slowly.
Is it better to launch creatives weekly or monthly?
Weekly. A monthly batch leaves the account running on fatigued ads for part of every month, and half the batch is stale before it launches.
How many creatives do big Meta advertisers make?
Large accounts ship dozens of new concepts a week. The ratio matters more than the count: enough new concepts to replace what fatigues, plus room for tests that fail.
Do new variations count toward the weekly number?
Count distinct concepts only. A new headline on the same video does not replace a fatigued ad.
