From vibe coding to vibe marketing
Vibe coding, named by Andrej Karpathy in February 2025, is describing software and steering by outcome. Vibe marketing, named a month later by Greg Isenberg, James Dickerson and Jordan Mix, is the same move for campaigns.
- February 2025
Vibe coding
Tell the model what you want, accept what it writes, judge the result. Cursor, Replit, Lovable and Bolt made it a category.
- March 2025
The name
The same 20x acceleration hits marketing: one marketer with agents ships in a day. The first wave was n8n and Make workflows.
- 2026
Agents that do the work
Recipes became agents that hold a whole job: read the account, propose the change, wait for a yes, make it in Google Ads, Meta or the CMS.
The unit of work is the outcome
“200 signups under $40”, not a keyword list.
Production is continuous
Variants and budget moves every day, not a quarterly relaunch.
Judgment stays human
Every write is proposed first. You approve, edit or reject.
Vibe marketing vs traditional marketing
Traditional marketing scales with headcount. Vibe marketing scales with the quality of the direction, because the agent supplies the volume.
| Dimension | Traditional marketing | Vibe marketing |
|---|---|---|
| Where work starts | A brief, then a team executes it | A described outcome, then an agent executes it |
| Speed to launch | Days to weeks | Hours |
| Optimization | Weekly or monthly reviews | Continuous, each change proposed for approval |
| Creative volume | Three to five variants per cycle | Dozens per cycle, tested and pruned |
| Channel coordination | One specialist per channel | One agent across ads, SEO and analytics |
| How it scales | Headcount and agency retainers | Better direction; the agent adds volume |
| Cost of one test | High, so few tests run | Near zero, so many run |
| Marketer’s role | Executor and coordinator | Strategist and editor |
What does not change: positioning, offer and voice are still a person’s call. Write them down once, on a one-page vibe doc, and put it in front of every prompt.
How vibe marketing actually works
Prompt, agent, proposal, approval. Four workflows below, each with the prompt as typed and what came back.
Outputs from a Sprites demo workspace. Figures are illustrative; the tools and approval steps are real.
1. Audit the ad account and reallocate budget
Audit my Google Ads and Meta accounts for the last 30 days. Find where money is being wasted and move it to what is converting. Keep total spend flat.
- Read 30 days of Google AdsGoogle Ads report
- Read 30 days of MetaMeta insights
- Rank campaigns by CPAAnalysis
- Draft a spend-neutral moveBudget update, gated
What came back
Four campaigns hold 71% of spend and 38% of conversions. The plan moves $2,400 a month to the two that convert cheapest and pauses one with no conversions in 30 days.
| Campaign | 30-day spend | CPA | Change | Per month |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Brand + competitor searchGoogle | $3,100 | $21 | Raise | +$1,200 |
| Retargeting, 14-day visitorsMeta | $1,850 | $27 | Raise | +$1,200 |
| Generic “analytics software”Google | $4,600 | $118 | Cut | −$1,600 |
| Broad interest prospectingMeta | $2,900 | $94 | Cut | −$800 |
| Display remarketingGoogle | $640 | — | Pause | −$640 |
2. Generate ten ad variants in the brand voice and launch the top three
Write 10 Meta ad variants for our free trial in our brand voice (direct, dry, no exclamation marks). Score them, then launch the top 3 into one ad set at $60 a day, optimized for trial signups.
- Load the voice rulesBrand kit
- Draft ten variants, ten anglesAd copywriter
- Render and score all tenCreative studio
- Build the ad set with the top threeCampaign builder, gated
What came back
Ten drafts written to the voice rules (direct, dry, no exclamation marks), scored, four shown. The three marked launched went live in one ad set.
Your dashboard has 40 charts. You look at two.

Ask your data a question. Get a number, not a dashboard.
Built for the person who owns the number, not the pipeline.
3. Find what competitors are running and counter it
Show me what Lovable, Bolt and Replit are running on Meta right now, what has run longest, and propose one angle for us that none of them is using.
- Read their live Meta adsCompetitor ads
- Group by the promise madeAnalysis
- Draft the first ad on the gapAd copywriter
What came back
What they are running. All three sell speed (“idea to app in minutes”) through creator video, rotated weekly. Only Bolt’s longest-running ad is about something else: reliability.
The gap. Nobody talks about what happens after the demo. Own “the second week”.
First ad on it. “Everyone shows you the first prompt. Here is week two.” A 30-second screen recording of the same app being changed, redeployed and shared.
4. Write and publish an SEO article from one keyword
Write an article for the keyword “customer data platform for ecommerce”. Match our voice, link to the integrations page, and publish it as a draft on WordPress so I can review it.
- Read the top results and PAASERP research
- Draft in the brand voiceSEO writer
- Add links, metadata and FAQOn-page
- Save a WordPress draftWeb publisher, gated

Vibe marketing examples
Live ads from AI-native companies, read from the Sprites Ads Library, with the prompt that reproduces each pattern.
Hover to play, click to open. Counts refresh weekly.
Creator video at volume, rotated weekly
1,251 ads66% video53 new this week17 creators
Short creator videos of someone describing an app and watching it appear. New variants weekly; the winners run for months.
Write 8 short-video scripts, each a different person describing an app they want and reacting to it being built. Same offer, same CTA. Score them and launch the top 3.

Generated footage with a one-line claim over it. The product never appears; what it made does.
Generate 6 ten-second clips that could only have been made with our tool, each with a one-line caption. No interface shots. Launch as one reach campaign and tell me which clip holds attention longest.
Launch a feature, launch a campaign, same day
645 ads64% video38 new this week
Every product change gets its own videos and carousels within days. The library reads like a changelog.
We ship [feature] on Thursday. Draft the launch campaign for Meta and Google: 4 video hooks, 2 carousels and 3 search ads in our voice, ready to approve the morning it ships.
Vibe marketing by channel
The writes differ per channel: bids and keywords on Google, creative and audiences on Meta, budget across both, pages on your own site for SEO.
Vibe marketing for Google Ads
Search terms, quality score and auction share are all readable. Name the outcome and the guardrail (“CPA under $45, cut what has not converted in 30 days”), approve the change list, and it is applied.
Vibe marketing for Meta ads
Meta rewards creative volume, which an agent produces cheaply. Describe the offer and the voice, launch a handful of hooks, let Meta pick, feed the winner back into the next batch.
Vibe marketing for paid ads budgets
“Where is the next $1,000 best spent?” An agent that reads both accounts answers with a reallocation table, moves the money after approval, and checks back in a week.
Vibe marketing for SEO and AI visibility
Keyword to brief, draft in your voice, links, metadata, published page, then a check on how ChatGPT and Gemini describe you a month later. You read the draft. Nothing else needs a person.
How to start this week
One outcome, one channel, seven days. Each day is a prompt you can paste.
- Day 1
Connect and read
Audit my Google Ads and Meta accounts for the last 30 days. Rank the ten changes that would most improve cost per conversion.
- Day 2
Write the vibe doc
Here is our vibe doc: audience, offer, tone, banned words, constraints. Rewrite it as the brand-voice rules you will apply to every ad and article.
- Day 3
Read the competition
Show me the longest-running Meta and Google ads from [competitor A], [B] and [C]. Group them by promise, then propose one angle none of them uses.
- Day 4
Generate the batch
Generate 12 ad variants for [offer] in our voice, on the angle we chose. Give each a hook, primary text, headline and visual direction, and score them.
- Day 5
Launch small
Launch the top three variants as one Meta campaign at $50 a day, optimized for [conversion]. Show me the plan before you build it.
- Day 6
Publish one page
Write and publish an article for “[keyword]”. Match our voice, link to [product page], and give me the draft to review before it goes live.
- Day 7
Review, keep, kill
Review this week’s campaign. Which variants should we pause, which should get more budget, and what do the winners share?
Vibe marketing FAQ
What is vibe marketing?
Vibe marketing is describing the marketing outcome you want, in plain language, and having AI agents produce and run the work: creative, copy, targeting, launch and optimization. The marketer sets direction and approves; the agent does the production. The name mirrors vibe coding.
Is vibe marketing just AI marketing?
No. AI marketing is any use of AI in marketing, including a chatbot that drafts a caption. Vibe marketing is a way of working: the agent operates inside the real systems (the ad account, the CMS) and proposes changes you approve, so the output is a live campaign rather than a document about one.
What tools do you need for vibe marketing?
Three layers: a language model to write and reason (ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini), something that turns its output into work in your accounts (an agent platform such as Sprites, or workflow tools like n8n, Make and Zapier), and analytics to see what happened. Creative generators such as Midjourney, Runway and HeyGen slot into the first layer.
Can one person do vibe marketing?
Yes, and that is the point. One marketer with an agent can research competitors, generate and launch variants, reallocate budget and publish articles in a week. What still needs a person is the offer, the voice, and which proposals to approve.
What is the difference between vibe marketing and vibe coding?
Same idea, different output. In vibe coding you describe software and the model writes code you accept or revise. In vibe marketing you describe a campaign and an agent builds and runs it. Both move the human from producing the work to directing and judging it.
How is vibe marketing different from marketing automation?
Marketing automation runs a workflow you designed in advance: if this, then that. Vibe marketing starts from the outcome and lets the agent decide the steps, then asks for approval before it acts. Automation is fixed; an agent adapts to what it finds in the account.
Does vibe marketing work for paid ads?
It works best there, because ad platforms expose everything an agent needs to read and change: spend, conversions, search terms, audiences, creative. A typical week is an audit, a budget reallocation, a batch of new variants and a review, each proposed by the agent and approved by you.
