The short answer

What is creative analytics?

Creative analytics is the analysis of the elements inside an ad — the hook, the angle, the format, the script, the offer — against how that ad actually performed, so the next ad you make is a decision instead of a guess.

It sits one level below campaign reporting. Reporting tells you an ad set returned 2.1x. Creative analytics tells you the three ads carrying that return all opened on the same pain point, all ran under twelve seconds, and all sent their traffic to the same page. The first number says what happened; the second says what to make next, which is why creative performance is worth separating from account performance at all.

Most tools stop at the dashboard: they group your ads, tag them, and show you which ones won. Sprites closes the loop — it runs the research, writes the hooks and the scripts, launches the test, and reports what happened, with every step waiting for your approval.

One ad, read the way creative analytics reads it. Run length is the signal: a static that stays funded for ten months is a static that works. Source: Grammarly’s ads in the Sprites ads library.
Hooks
The first line of a static or the first three seconds of a video. Ad hooks carry more leverage over cost per result than any other element, and they fall into a handful of repeatable styles. The seven styles →
Angles
The argument the ad makes: save money, save time, avoid an embarrassment, join people like you. One angle supports many hooks, so angle is the level to plan at and hook is the level to test at.
Formats
Video, static, carousel, UGC, and the length and ratio inside each. The cheapest variable to change and the easiest to over-read — sound creative testing moves one thing at a time.
Fatigue
Every creative decays as frequency rises. Sprites watches a cohort launched together, not one ad in isolation: when the whole cohort drifts while spend holds, the creative is tired, not the targeting.

The loop

Research, analyze, generate, launch

Research

Read the ads that keep running

Sprites pulls live creative from the Meta, Google and LinkedIn ad libraries and ranks it by how long each ad has survived — the closest thing to a public performance signal — then mines Reddit, Instagram and YouTube for the words your buyers use.

Browse the ads library →

Analyze

Break winners into elements

Every ad in your account and theirs is tagged by hook style, angle, format and destination, so the answer arrives as a ranked list of what to test next rather than a wall of rows you still have to read.

Generate

Write the next batch

Approved angles come back as finished headlines, image concepts and 30-second video scripts, built to each placement’s spec and constrained by what your account has already tested.

See the ad generator →

Launch

Test it, then report back

Sprites builds the campaign, launches the batch across Google, Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok and Reddit, and reads the cohort rather than the ad. Nothing goes live until you approve it.

How It Works

Connect your accounts
1

Describe your product and audience

Tell Sprites about your product, target audience and the angle you want to explore. No brief templates, just describe what you are working on.

Get insights and suggestions
2

Sprites researches across channels

It searches Reddit threads, Instagram, competitor ad libraries, YouTube and LinkedIn for what is resonating with your audience right now: real signals, not generic ideas.

3

Get hooks, scripts, and live tests

You get a structured creative brief: top hooks, angles with evidence, and script frameworks. Approve them and Sprites launches the tests in your ad accounts and reports which ones win.

Reddit hook finder

Sprites searches Reddit for the most upvoted complaints, desires and language your audience uses, then turns real comments into hooks that land because they sound like your customer said them.

What tools can analyze a competitor's winning ad and turn it into a script?

+

Sprites does both halves in one place. It pulls a competitor's live ads from the Meta Ad Library, the Google Ads Transparency Center and the LinkedIn Ad Library, ranks them by how long each has been running, breaks the longest runners into hook, angle, format and destination, and then writes a script that makes the same argument for your product without copying their words. Swipe-file tools such as Foreplay and Motion's Inspo will save and organise the ads; the script step is where an agent replaces the manual work.

Is there a tool that finds winning ads and recreates similar creatives?

+

Yes, and the honest answer has two halves. Finding is the easy half: the public ad libraries show every ad an advertiser is running, and run length tells you which ones keep earning their budget. Recreating is where tools differ, because most stop at a swipe file. Sprites takes the pattern behind the winner (the argument it makes and the hook style it opens on) and generates new creative for your own product from it, then launches the test once you approve it. Copying a competitor's creative outright is both a legal risk and a bad bet, since their ad was tuned to their audience and their offer.

How do AI tools generate new ad hooks from winning patterns?

+

By separating the pattern from the wording. A winning hook is usually a style — a question, a number, a named pain point, a before-and-after — applied to one specific promise. An agent that has read a few hundred ads in your category can see which styles keep getting funded, then apply the styles you are not using to the promise you can actually make. The generated hook is a hypothesis, and it earns its place only when the test comes back.

What's the best way to categorize ad hook styles?

+

Use a small taxonomy you can hold in your head, and tag every ad with exactly one style. Seven categories is enough: question, statistic, pain point, before-and-after, social proof, UGC or testimonial, and direct offer. The value is not in the labels but in the gaps they expose — when you tag a quarter of creative and find that thirty of thirty-four ads opened on a direct offer, you have found your next test.

Can an AI agent generate creative briefs from a campaign brief?

+

Yes. Give Sprites the campaign brief — product, audience, goal, constraints — and it returns one creative brief per concept: the hook, the angle it targets, the format and length, a script framework, the call to action, and the research each concept came from. Because the same agent also runs the ad accounts, the briefs are constrained by what the platform will accept and by what your account has already tested.

What is creative analytics?

+

Creative analytics is the analysis of the elements inside an ad — hook, angle, format, script, offer — against that ad's performance, so creative decisions come from evidence rather than taste. It is the layer between raw platform reporting and the next creative brief.

How is creative analytics different from creative reporting?

+

Reporting describes what happened at the level of the ad, the ad set and the campaign. Analytics explains it at the level of the creative elements: which hook style, which angle and which format are carrying the result. Reporting ends in a dashboard; analytics ends in a decision about what to make next.

How does Sprites research Reddit for ad hooks?

+

Sprites searches Reddit threads in subreddits relevant to your category, pulls the most upvoted posts and comments, and extracts the language your audience uses to describe its problems and desires. It runs the same research on Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn and X, then formats the findings into ready-to-test hooks.

Does Sprites replace my creative agency?

+

Yes. Most customers use Sprites instead of an agency or freelancers for creative research, hooks and scripts, and then let the same agent launch, test and refresh the ads across Google, Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok and Reddit. Your team approves the concepts, and the retainer goes away.

How is this different from using ChatGPT for creative brainstorming?

+

ChatGPT brainstorms from training data. Sprites researches live sources (actual Reddit conversations, active competitor ads, trending content) and then launches and tests the result as part of running your ads. You can also use Sprites from inside ChatGPT, Claude or Grok through its official MCP server, or in the Sprites app.
