Is Jean Phil real or AI?
AI. Jean Phil is not a real person. Every clip is generated, and the account behind him has been renamed six times since it was created in June 2025.
The tell was the account history. Jeremy Carrasco (@jeremyfindsai on Instagram) showed on Sep 25 that the profile first joined in June 2025 and changed its username six times in 15 months before it became jean_philanthrope. His video did 1.6M views in three days.
On Sep 20, X user KodaqSOL called the character "fully AI-generated". Know Your Meme, Dexerto and LADbible all report him as AI. Nobody has come forward as the man in the suit, because there is no man in the suit.
Who made Jean Philanthrope?
Nobody knows. The creator has not been identified. ZDFheute reports the account is run from Belgium, and the X account that launched the coin goes by JeanPhilMadame.
What is on record: an Instagram account registered in June 2025, six usernames, an X account (@JeanPhilMadame) opened Sep 20 2026, and a coin launched the same day. That X account says the creator has sold no tokens.
L'ADN reports the creator spent about $43 launching the coin and has earned more than $100K in creator fees without selling. ZDFheute had the creator wallet holding 13.6M coins, worth about $43K, on Oct 1.

- Hits $0.02845, then loses more than 99% of its value that day (LADbible, Bored Panda).
- Back to about $8.8M market cap, about $415K in pools (Dexerto).
- Peaks at $12.2M, then halves to about $6M (Cointribune).
- Down 70% from the peak (L'ADN).
- About $3M market cap (ZDFheute).
Jeremy Carrasco called it a pump-and-dump. Dexerto put the formula in one line: create a memorable AI persona, give it a repeatable visual joke, build a fake feud, attach a coin.
Jean Phil copycats
Within days Jean Phil had rivals: Archibald Brown, an English gentleman with a twirled moustache, and Derek Mercer, a long-haired AI bodybuilder. Both have coins. Benjamin Stachio, the triple-moustache bar dancer, followed on Sep 27.
Cointribune also names Jade Orlhabit, who appears in clips with Jean Phil and promotes $JEANPHIL, and Nigel Batt, a black-haired Farquaad type with his own token. The full list is on the weird AI characters page.
Jean Phil costume: wig, moustache, suit
Four pieces: a blond curled bob wig, a curled handlebar moustache, a brown houndstooth suit and a plain tie. Then shadowbox, and say nothing.
- Wig: blond, chin-length, tight curls, heavy fringe. A "poodle" or Farquaad bob.
- Moustache: handlebar, ends curled up. Same blond as the wig.
- Suit: brown houndstooth, three-piece if you can find one, white shirt.
- Tie: plain, dark.
- The bit: fists up, silent, shadowboxing at nothing.
How to make an AI character like Jean Phil
Design the character once as a reference sheet, generate a base clip, then swap your character into it. The sheet is what keeps the face the same from clip to clip, which is the whole trick behind Jean Phil.
Write the character sheet in ChatGPT
One original character: front, three-quarter and walking profile on one plain background, same lighting and scale in every view. Give it a name, a silhouette you can read at thumbnail size, and one prop or bit it always does. Jean Phil has the bob, the moustache and the shadowboxing. That is the brief.
Crumb, an original character, as a reference sheet made in ChatGPT. Generate a base clip in Seedance
Prompt the action and the setting, not the face: "man in a houndstooth suit shadowboxing on a Paris street, handheld, 9:16". Five to ten seconds is plenty. Generate a few and keep the one with the best motion.Swap your character in
Feed the base clip and the character sheet to Seedance's character reference and let it replace the subject. Same motion, your face. Check the hands and the hairline before you keep it.Post the same character every week
One clip is a meme. The same character in a new setting every week is a mascot. The recognition compounds.
The full walkthrough, with the exact ChatGPT prompts, three original reference sheets and the Seedance swap request, is in how to make an AI mascot. Why the wave works in ads is in AI commercials got weird. What each clip tool costs per finished ad is in AI video tools for ads, and Seedance against Kling is in Kling vs Seedance.
