The short answer
- $59/mo Basic, $175/mo Workflow, $459/mo Agency — or $49, $149 and $389 billed annually.
- Seven-day free trial, no credit card, on every self-serve plan. Extra seats are $20 each.
- The annual switch saves ~15% and lifts the brand-tracking cap to unlimited — that second part is the real reason to take it.
- No plan connects to an ad account. Foreplay finds and briefs creative; it never launches it.

The ladder
| Plan | Monthly | Annual /mo | Seats | What it adds |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Basic | $59 | $49 | 1 | Swipe file, Discovery, Briefs, API, MCP |
| Workflow | $175 | $149 | 5 | + Spyder tracking, Lens on 1 brand |
| Agency | $459 | $389 | 10 | + Spyder on 50 brands, Lens on 10 |
| Enterprise | Quote. Unlimited seats, Slack support, early access. | |||
The annual switch is a cap lift, not a discount
Annual billing takes about 15% off, which is what the page leads with. The number that actually changes your workflow is the tracking cap: monthly plans limit Spyder to 15 brands on Workflow and 50 on Agency, while annual plans list it as unlimited and double monthly credits from 10,000 to 20,000.
So the question is not whether 15% matters. It is whether you follow more brands than the monthly cap allows — and if you are an agency, you almost certainly do.
Which tier you actually need
- Solo strategist → Basic. One seat, saving and briefing, no performance data.
- In-house team → Workflow. First tier that reads performance through Lens rather than only inspiration.
- Agency → Agency, annual. Ten seats, Lens on ten brands, and the cap lift above.

What no plan does
Foreplay does not connect to an ad account to change anything. It finds, organises and briefs creative. Launching the campaign, setting the budget and reallocating it next week happen somewhere else — usually in Ads Manager, by hand.
That is not a flaw, it is the category line. It is also the line to price against: at $459/mo for the Agency tier, the question is what the brief is worth if nothing downstream changes.
If the price is the problem
- Foreplay alternatives — six options including the free libraries and the tools that run the campaign.
- Atria pricing — the tier up, at $129 to $959/mo, gated on connected ad spend.
- The free ads library — if all you need is to see competitor creative, this costs nothing.
