Why it happens
The landing page
The landing page
A broken link, a page that does not match the ad, a redirect chain, or a destination that asks for data with no context.
Misleading or unsupported claims
Guaranteed results, fake urgency, before-and-after promises, health or money claims the page does not back up.
Quality
Blurry images, clickbait headlines, excessive capitals or symbols, or text that does not read like a Reddit post.
Restricted categories
Financial services, health, alcohol, gambling and political ads carry extra rules and sometimes need approval first.
How to fix it, step by step
Read the rejection reason
In Reddit Ads Manager, open the ad. The rejection reason is shown on it and in the notification email.
Fix the named problem
Change the post copy, the creative or the destination it points at. Leave everything else alone.
Fix the landing page if it is the reason
Working URL, same offer as the ad, no long redirect chains.
Resubmit once
Submit the fixed ad and wait for review, up to 48 business hours. Repeated blind resubmits waste days.
Contact support if it was wrong
If the ad complies, contact Reddit Ads support with the ad ID and why you think the decision was wrong.
Steps checked against Reddit Ads Help Center articles on ad review and the Reddit Advertising Policy.
Sprites fixes this
Or let Sprites fix it
Sprites finds every rejected ad, reads the reason Reddit gave, and drafts the corrected version. You approve before it is submitted.
What Sprites does
- Lists every ad with its configured and effective status, rejection reason, destination URL and the post behind it.
- Creates a corrected post and a new ad on it, or points the existing ad at a fixed landing page.
- Pauses the rejected ad so the ad group runs clean.
What it doesn't do
- Appeal the rejection with Reddit
Questions
How long does Reddit ad review take?
Normally up to 48 business hours, sometimes longer depending on the content.
Where do I find why my Reddit ad was rejected?
On the ad in Reddit Ads Manager and in the notification email.
What does rejected for quality mean?
The ad broke a creative quality rule rather than a content policy: image quality, clickbait, formatting or a mismatch with the landing page.
Can I appeal a Reddit ad rejection?
Yes, through Reddit Ads support. If the reason is clear, fixing and resubmitting is faster.
Does Sprites appeal rejections?
No. Sprites reads the rejection reason and drafts a corrected ad for you to approve. Appeals go through Reddit Ads support.
