How a hire works
About 8,100 US searches a month are for Collabstr, and 210 are reviews. The product brands use: search a large vetted creator list, or post a campaign and let creators apply with their price, chat before you hire, and pay escrow that releases on approval. Payouts to creators in a long list of countries are handled for you.
Free to search, with a 10% hiring fee. Paid plans add campaigns and analytics. The $333 a month plan drops the hiring fee to 5%. Those are the figures on creator marketplaces. Creator prices are theirs, not Collabstr’s.
Rights are per creator
Unlike a marketplace that grants unlimited usage on every purchase, Collabstr leaves the license as something you agree before the order. Write paid usage, the channels, and the end date into that agreement. A handshake in the chat is how a winning ad becomes a takedown.
If you also want their handle, say so in the same agreement. The Meta side of that is partnership ads.
When it is the right marketplace
When you want to pick a specific creator and you are willing to negotiate. It is a worse fit when you want a menu of $25 videos with the rights already standardized. That menu is closer to JoinBrands.
The hours you still spend on briefs and review do not move. They are counted on creator management.
Questions
Is Collabstr legitimate?
It is a real marketplace with escrow, which is the part that protects the brand: the creator is paid when you approve. Read the individual creator’s audience the way you would anywhere. Escrow is not a guarantee they can make an ad.
What does the hiring fee apply to?
The creator’s price. A 10% fee on a $400 creator is $40 to the platform, on top. The paid plan that drops the fee to 5% is worth it only if you hire enough for the subscription to be smaller than the fee you saved.
Do I get whitelisting automatically?
No. You agree it with the creator before the order. If it is not in the agreement, you have the file on the terms you wrote, and nothing more.
