Analyze Your Pricing Against
What the Market Actually Charges

Sprites reads competitor pricing pages, mines reviews for what buyers say about price and value, and reads your own sales data, then recommends where your tiers, anchors and packaging should sit.

What this template does

Pricing decisions usually get made from a spreadsheet of competitor list prices and a gut feeling. This template gives Sprites the wider evidence. It reads competitor pricing pages in full, including tier structure, what is gated where, discounts for annual billing, free tiers and trials, and add-on fees. It then mines reviews of those competitors and of you for the price and value language buyers use: what they call expensive, what they say is worth it, which plan they say they had to upgrade to. If you upload your own data, such as a plan mix, conversion by tier or churn by price point, Sprites reads that too.

The output is a written analysis rather than a forecast. Sprites does not model demand elasticity or promise a revenue outcome; it shows where you sit in the market, where the gaps and anchors are, and what a defensible change looks like, with the copy for a revised pricing page drafted if you want it. It works from web research and your uploads; there is no billing or pricing tool integration.

Run it in Sprites

“Analyze my pricing against my main competitors using their pricing pages, customer reviews and the plan data I uploaded, and recommend changes”

Sign in, paste nothing: this prompt opens pre-filled. Sprites asks for what it needs, shows the plan, and waits for your approval before anything reaches an account.

Inputs and outputs

What you provide

  • Your pricing page URL and your current plan structure
  • Competitor names or pricing page URLs (Sprites can find them from a category)
  • The goal: raise average revenue per account, improve trial conversion, reduce downgrades, enter a new segment
  • Optional: a spreadsheet of plan mix, conversion by tier, churn by plan or win-loss notes, uploaded or linked from Google Drive or OneDrive

What you get

  • A side-by-side pricing matrix: tiers, prices, billing terms, gated features, free tier and trial terms per competitor
  • Review findings on price and value perception, quoted, for each competitor and for you
  • A positioning read: where you anchor low, high or unclear, and which features buyers pay for
  • Packaging and tier recommendations with the reasoning and the trade-offs stated
  • Optional: a draft of the revised pricing page copy and the FAQ that answers price objections

How it runs

  1. Step 1

    Collect the pricing pages

Sprites reads each competitor pricing page, including toggles and footnotes, and records tiers, prices, billing terms, limits and add-ons in a matrix beside your own.

  2. Step 2

    Mine the reviews

Reviews of each competitor and of your product are read for price and value statements: complaints about cost, praise for value, mentions of forced upgrades or hidden fees.

  3. Step 3

    Read your data

If you uploaded plan mix, conversion or churn data, Sprites reads it to see which tiers carry the business and where customers hesitate or leave.

  4. Step 4

    Analyze positioning

Anchors, gaps and gated features are compared across the matrix and against the review language, and the analysis states where a move is supported and where it is not.

  5. Step 5

    Recommend and draft

Tier, packaging and anchoring recommendations are written with trade-offs. On request, Sprites drafts the pricing page copy and a price-objection FAQ for sales and ads.

Where teams use it

  • SaaS tier redesign

See which features competitors gate at which tier, what reviewers say about forced upgrades, and where your middle tier should sit.

  • Ecommerce and DTC

Compare bundle pricing, shipping thresholds and subscription discounts across the category, with review language on value to inform the offer in your ads.

  • Agencies and services

Benchmark retainer and package structures against comparable firms and draft the packaging that makes the comparison work in your favor.

  • Launch pricing

Enter a category with the full matrix in hand and a price that is deliberately positioned rather than guessed.

Frequently asked questions

Where does the competitor pricing data come from?

+

From competitor pricing pages read by Sprites through web research, including billing toggles, footnotes and add-on fees, plus customer reviews of those products. There is no pricing database or billing tool integration; the analysis is built from public pages and your own uploads.

Does it forecast revenue from a price change?

+

No. Sprites does not model elasticity or predict revenue. It shows your position in the market, what buyers say about price and value, what your own plan data suggests, and which changes are supported by that evidence, with the trade-offs stated.

What data of my own should I upload?

+

Plan mix, trial-to-paid conversion by tier, churn or downgrade by plan, and win-loss notes mentioning price are the most useful. Upload a spreadsheet or link it from Google Drive or OneDrive. Without it, the analysis still runs on public research.

Can it write the new pricing page?

+

Yes. Ask for it and Sprites drafts the tier names, descriptions, feature lists and a price-objection FAQ. If the page lives on a CMS Sprites publishes to, the SEO agent can stage the update for your approval.

Can I run the analysis from Claude or ChatGPT?

+

Yes. Sprites ships an official MCP server, so the same research and analysis run from Claude, ChatGPT, Grok or any MCP-compatible assistant, including reading files you have linked from Google Drive or OneDrive.
