Why it happens
Checking the wrong page
Checking the wrong page
The homepage passes and the landing page or thank-you page fails. Check every page a conversion depends on, not just the one you remember installing on.
A tag that fires for the wrong account
A request to px.ads.linkedin.com proves a tag fired. It does not prove it is yours. Match the Partner ID.
Checking before consent
With a consent banner up, the tag may wait for an accept. A checker run before you accept reports nothing.
Extensions that are out of date
Browser tag helpers come and go and read only what your browser loads. Treat them as a convenience, not as the source of truth.
How to fix it, step by step
Open the page in a clean window
Use a private window with ad blockers off, so nothing on your machine blocks the tag.
Watch the network request
Open dev tools, go to Network, filter for px.ads.linkedin.com and reload. Accept the cookie banner if you have one. You should see a request within a second or two.
Read the Partner ID
View page source and search for _linkedin_partner_id. Compare it with the Partner ID in Campaign Manager under Data, then Signals Manager.
Repeat on the pages that matter
Run the same check on the landing pages your ads send traffic to and on every thank-you or confirmation page.
Confirm on LinkedIn
In Signals Manager the Insight Tag should read Active. If the browser shows the request but the status stays Unverified after 24 hours, the Partner ID is wrong.

Sprites diagnoses this
Sprites diagnoses it
Sprites is the checker. Give it your domain and your Partner ID and it scans the site and reports back, page by page.
What Sprites does
- Scans your site for the Insight Tag script, the Partner ID, lintrk references and the noscript pixel, and flags likely conversion triggers.
- Checks the Partner ID it finds against the one you expect, and checks the extra paths you name to confirm a site-wide install.
- Lists your ad sets and their conversion results, so you see whether a working tag is actually producing conversions.
What it doesn't do
- Install or edit the tag on your site
- Read the tag status in Signals Manager
- Fire test events
Questions
Is there an official LinkedIn Insight Tag checker?
The official check is the Insight Tag status in Signals Manager inside Campaign Manager. Browser dev tools tell you the same thing from the page side in seconds.
What request does the Insight Tag send?
A request to px.ads.linkedin.com. Filter the Network tab for that host and reload the page.
Where do I find my Partner ID?
In Campaign Manager, under Data, then Signals Manager, on the Insight Tag source. It is also in the install code as _linkedin_partner_id.
The checker sees the tag but LinkedIn shows Unverified. Why?
Either the Partner ID belongs to a different account, or nobody has visited since install. Fix the ID, send traffic, and give it 24 hours.
Does a checker confirm my conversions work?
No. It confirms the tag loads. Conversions also need a rule in Conversion tracking that matches the page or event, attached to your ad sets.
