Why it happens
The Partner ID does not match the account
The Partner ID does not match the account
Every ad account has its own Partner ID. A tag copied from another account, an agency or an old install fires happily and reports to nobody you can see.
The tag is not on every page
Installed on the homepage only, or in a template your landing pages and thank-you page do not use. The pages that matter for conversions never load it.
A consent banner or tag manager rule blocks it
Consent tools hold marketing tags until a visitor accepts. A Google Tag Manager trigger that never fires, or a tag left paused in a workspace that was never published, does the same.
Not enough time or traffic
Status can take up to 24 hours to switch to Active after someone visits. A staging site or a page nobody visits stays Unverified.
A single-page app changes routes without reloading
The tag records the first page load. Route changes in React or Next.js apps send nothing unless you fire lintrk yourself.
How to fix it, step by step
Read the tag status
In Campaign Manager, open Data, then Signals Manager, and find the Insight Tag source. Active is fine. Unverified or No recent activity means LinkedIn has seen nothing recently.
Match the Partner ID
Copy the Partner ID shown in Signals Manager. View the source of your live page and search for _linkedin_partner_id. The two numbers must be identical.
Check the pages that matter
Load your landing page and your thank-you page with the browser dev tools open on the Network tab. Filter for px.ads.linkedin.com. No request means no tag on that page.
Check consent and the tag manager
Accept cookies and reload. If the request appears only after you accept, the banner was the block. In Google Tag Manager, confirm the trigger is All Pages and the container is published.
Install once, in the global header
Put the tag in the site-wide head or footer template, once. Remove duplicate copies from page builders and plugins.
Wait a day, then recheck
Send real traffic to the site and look at Signals Manager again after 24 hours.

Sprites fixes this
Or let Sprites fix it
Sprites scans your live site for the tag, checks it against the Partner ID you expect, and tells you exactly which pages are missing it.
What Sprites does
- Scans a public page for the Insight Tag script, the Partner ID, lintrk calls and the noscript fallback pixel.
- Compares the Partner ID on the page with the one you expect, and checks extra paths like your pricing and thank-you pages to confirm a site-wide install.
- Once the tag is live, creates the conversion rules you are missing, with URL rules that fire on your thank-you page. You approve each one.
What it doesn't do
- Install or edit the tag on your site
- Read the tag status in Signals Manager
Questions
How long does the Insight Tag take to show Active?
Up to 24 hours after someone visits a page with the tag on it. No visits, no status change.
What does No recent activity mean?
LinkedIn saw the tag at some point but has not seen it fire lately. Usually the tag was removed in a redesign, a plugin was switched off, or a consent tool started blocking it.
Can I have two Insight Tags on one site?
You can load tags for two different Partner IDs. Two copies of the same tag on one page is a mistake that double counts page views. Keep one per Partner ID.
Does the Insight Tag work on single-page apps?
It records the first load. For route changes you need to call lintrk yourself or use a tag manager trigger on history changes.
Does an ad blocker break the Insight Tag?
For that visitor, yes. That is normal loss, not a broken install. A tag that never fires for anyone is a broken install. Pair the tag with the Conversions API to recover blocked conversions.
