Sprites MCP · Shopify

Shopify MCP: your store, joined to the ads that sell it

The Sprites MCP server connects Shopify to any MCP client, and joins it to the ad accounts spending against it. Ask which products are profitable after ad cost, publish a collection page, or refresh product copy — the store is read live and every write is approved.

What Sprites does on Shopify

Every door runs the Shopify specialist, which reads the account itself. You do not brief it on which account, campaign or page you mean.

Profit after ad cost, per product

The join nobody does by hand: store revenue against what Google, Meta and TikTok spent to get it.

Read the whole catalogue

Every product, variant and collection — uncapped, filterable, and grep-ready when you want to work on it.

Publish collection pages

Real pages in the store, with metadata and internal links, arriving as a draft to approve.

Refresh product copy at scale

Descriptions rewritten against what converts, proposed as a set you review before it lands.

Creative from real products

Ads built from the actual catalogue — price, variant, image — rather than a model's guess at your range.

Store blog without a second tool

Posts drafted into the Shopify blog through the same connector as everything else.

Connect Shopify to your agent

One endpoint, five clients. Each guide is the exact path through that host's settings, the URL to paste, and the first prompt to run.

Claude

The only host that draws the Sprites approval card in the chat, so you edit a budget or a headline in place and approve it without leaving the thread.

Approval card in the thread
ChatGPT

Developer mode gives ChatGPT full read-and-write MCP tools rather than the search-and-fetch pair the built-in connectors are limited to, and the Apps SDK renders the Sprites card in the thread.

Approval card in the thread
Codex

Marketing work that belongs in a commit: Codex can read the landing page it is about to ship and brief Sprites on the campaign pointing at it, in one session.

Cursor

The campaign and the page it points at live in the same window: change the pricing copy, then have Sprites update the ads that quote it, without a second tool.

Grok

Grok reads the live timeline, so the same thread that spots a trend can brief the campaign that rides it.

Gemini

The account and the analytics are already Google: Gemini reads Google Ads and GA4 alongside Search Console without leaving the family it belongs to.

Results as text · approve in Sprites
GitHub Copilot

Marketing data inside the editor where the tracking code lives, so a conversion event can be checked against what GA4 actually recorded before the pull request is opened.

Results as text · approve in Sprites
Google Antigravity

One MCP configuration shared by the IDE, the CLI, the SDK and Antigravity 2.0, so the connector is added once and every surface has it.

Results as text · approve in Sprites
Lovable

What it builds can be shaped by what actually converts: a landing page written against the search terms that are really paying, rather than against a guess.

Prompts that work verbatim

Paste any of these into a connected client. Naming Sprites matters: without it, an agent will happily answer a Shopify question from public data rather than from your account.

  • ›With Sprites, which products are profitable after ad cost this month?
  • ›Ask Sprites to list every product in the summer collection with price and inventory.
  • ›Use Sprites to create a collection page for "gifts under $50" and draft it in Shopify.
  • ›Have Sprites rewrite the 20 worst-converting product descriptions.
  • ›With Sprites, build Meta creative from our three best-selling SKUs.

What it reads, and what it can change

Reads happen on request. Writes never happen unasked: every change to Shopify is proposed, editable, and applied only when you approve it.

What it reads

  • Products, variants, collections, inventory and pricing
  • Orders, revenue and sessions
  • Store pages, blog posts and their metadata
  • The ad spend attributable to each, from the connected ad accounts

What it can change

  • Collection and landing pages, and store blog posts
  • Product descriptions and page metadata
  • Nothing touches the storefront without an approval

The doors behind it

  • analyze — revenue, orders and sessions, joined to what the ads cost
  • run_task — the full catalogue, and jobs that cross the store and the ad accounts
  • create_seo_page — collection and landing pages published into the store
  • write_seo_blog_post — store blog posts, drafted in Shopify
  • create_creative — product-led ad creative built from real catalogue data

Shopify MCP questions

Do I need a Shopify Partner account?

No. Connect a custom app you create in your own Shopify admin and paste its access token, or use the standard OAuth connect. Neither needs a Partner account.

Can it change prices or inventory?

No. Pricing and inventory are deliberately out of scope. It reads them, and writes only content: pages, posts, descriptions and metadata.

How does it know what the ads cost?

The same connector reads your Google, Meta, TikTok and Reddit accounts, so the join happens inside one system rather than in a spreadsheet.

Does session data need a Shopify plan upgrade?

Some store analytics queries need a higher Shopify plan tier. Sprites says so explicitly rather than returning an empty answer.

Will it publish to the live storefront?

Only on your approval. Pages and posts arrive as drafts; publishing is a separate click.
