Mobile game ad examples

One real video ad per game, longest-running first. A game ad that runs for months is one the network kept buying, so run length is the closest public signal of a winner. Tap any card to watch it.

How to read these examples

Look at the first three seconds, the copy and the run length. Ignore the rest.

  • The first three seconds

Freeze the ad at second three. If you cannot tell what the hook is, neither could the viewer.

  • The copy

Game copy is short and loud: a dare, a warning, a genre. It frames the video, it does not explain it.

  • The run length

Studios kill losers in days. Anything that ran for months is a proven ad, and the cuts around it are its variations.
