Add Sprites to Grok
Available on Grok paid tiers on web, iOS and Android; Business and Enterprise workspaces need an admin to provision it. You need a Sprites account with Reddit Ads already connected — the connector acts on that connection, so Grok never handles a Reddit credential.
Open the connectors page
Go to grok.com/connectors. Built-in and catalogue connectors are listed here alongside anything you add yourself.
Grokgrok.comConnectorsCreate a custom connector
Click New Connector, then choose Custom. Paste the Sprites endpoint and give it a name.
New connector — CustomNameSpritesMCP server URLhttps://mcp.sprites.ai/mcpComplete the sign-in
Grok sends you to the Sprites consent screen. Sign in with the account your channels are connected to and approve. Grok then discovers the tools and offers them in conversation like any built-in connector.
Spriteswants access on behalf of Grok- Read your connected ad accounts and site data
- Draft campaigns, creatives and pages for your approval
- Apply only the changes you approve
AllowCancelApprove changes by name
Grok renders results as text, so a pending change comes back written out rather than as a card. Nothing is applied until you approve it, and the approval waits for you in Sprites.
Run the first prompt
Ask Grok this. It routes to a Sprites door, which reads your Reddit Ads account and answers — no account to name, no confirmation to give first.
- With Sprites, which subreddits are converting and which are just clicking?
- Ask Sprites which communities discuss the problem our product solves.
- Use Sprites to rewrite our Reddit ad so it reads native to r/devops.
- Have Sprites pause the subreddits with spend and no conversions this month.
- With Sprites, launch a Reddit campaign across our top 8 communities at $60/day.
Open a new chat, ask "what Sprites tools do you have?" and confirm the doors are listed.
What Grok can do with Reddit Ads
The same doors, whichever client you are in. Grok reads the live timeline, so the same thread that spots a trend can brief the campaign that rides it.
Performance per community
CPA and engagement by subreddit, so a single expensive community stops hiding inside a campaign average.
Find the right rooms
The subreddits where your problem is actually discussed, sized and ranked before you target them.
Copy that does not get downvoted
Ad text drafted in the register of the community it runs in, not lifted from the Google Ads account.
Cut the tourist traffic
Communities with clicks and no conversions, named with the spend attached.
Read the comments
Engagement and sentiment on your own ads, which on Reddit is the earliest signal you get.
Launch around a list
A campaign whose structure follows the community list rather than fighting it.
How approvals work here
Grok renders tool results as text, so a Reddit change comes back written out rather than as a card. Nothing is applied until you approve it, and the approval waits for you in Sprites — open it there and the same run continues.
What it reads
- Campaigns, ad groups, ads and community targeting
- Spend, CPA, CTR, upvotes and comment engagement
- Per-subreddit performance breakdowns
- Public discussion in candidate communities
What it can change
- Create campaigns, ad groups and ads
- Community targeting, budgets, schedules and status
- Ad copy, drafted per community and approved before it runs
When it does not work in Grok
Three things go wrong in this client specifically, and each has a one-line fix.
New Connector has no Custom option.
Bring-your-own MCP is a paid-tier feature, and on Business or Enterprise a workspace admin has to enable it first.
Grok answers from the timeline instead of your account.
Say "with Sprites". Without it, a question about your ads is one Grok will happily answer from public data rather than from your account.
The connector was added but nothing is callable.
The endpoint must be reachable on the public internet and must be the one above; a tunnel URL from a testing guide will not resolve.
Reddit Ads and Grok: questions
Which URL do I paste into Grok?
https://mcp.sprites.ai/mcp. There is one endpoint and every client uses it — every OAuth grant is bound to exactly that address, so a variant of it will not be honoured.
Can Grok change my Reddit Ads account without asking?
Grok renders tool results as text, so a Reddit change comes back written out rather than as a card. Nothing is applied until you approve it, and the approval waits for you in Sprites — open it there and the same run continues.
Do I need a Reddit Ads API key or developer token?
No. Reddit Ads is connected once inside Sprites through Reddit Ads, and the connector acts on that connection. Grok never sees a credential for it.
Why Grok for Reddit Ads specifically?
Grok reads the live timeline, so the same thread that spots a trend can brief the campaign that rides it.
Can it target individual subreddits?
Yes, and it reports on them individually too — which is the point, since community-level CPA varies more on Reddit than on any other channel.
Will it post organically to Reddit?
No. The connector runs Reddit Ads. Organic posting is deliberately out of scope: it is the fastest way to get an account banned.
Keep going
The same Grok connector reaches every other channel — nothing else to add.
