Add Sprites to Grok
Available on Grok paid tiers on web, iOS and Android; Business and Enterprise workspaces need an admin to provision it. You need a Sprites account with your channels already connected — the connector acts on that connection, so Grok never handles a platform credential.
Open the connectors page
Go to grok.com/connectors. Built-in and catalogue connectors are listed here alongside anything you add yourself.
Grokgrok.comConnectorsCreate a custom connector
Click New Connector, then choose Custom. Paste the Sprites endpoint and give it a name.
New connector — CustomNameSpritesMCP server URLhttps://mcp.sprites.ai/mcpComplete the sign-in
Grok sends you to the Sprites consent screen. Sign in with the account your channels are connected to and approve. Grok then discovers the tools and offers them in conversation like any built-in connector.
Spriteswants access on behalf of Grok- Read your connected ad accounts and site data
- Draft campaigns, creatives and pages for your approval
- Apply only the changes you approve
AllowCancelApprove changes by name
Grok renders results as text, so a pending change comes back written out rather than as a card. Nothing is applied until you approve it, and the approval waits for you in Sprites.
What Grok can reach
All ten channels run through the one connector. Rows with a guide go deeper on that pairing; the rest are covered on the channel's own page.
| Channel | What Grok does with it | Guide |
|---|---|---|
| Google Ads | Live performance, search-term waste, campaign builds and budget moves — every write gated. | Set up → |
| Meta | Competitor creative pulled from the live library, in the thread the trend was spotted in. | Set up → |
| Cost per lead by job function, ABM account lists, sponsored content that converts. | Set up → | |
| TikTok | Hook-level reads, where reacting quickly to a format is most of the advantage. | Set up → |
| Community-level performance, which suits a host already reading how people actually talk. | Set up → | |
| GA4 | Ask GA4 a question and get the answer — including which channel actually caused it. | Set up → |
| SEO | Keyword research, posts written into your CMS, and page edits that arrive as a diff. | Set up → |
| AEO | Who gets cited by ChatGPT and Perplexity for your prompts, and the pages that change it. | Set up → |
| Shopify | Profit per product after ad cost, collection pages, and catalogue-true creative. | Set up → |
| GBP | Performance per location, the listings missing fields, and posts that keep the map pack. | Set up → |
Marketing workflows worth doing in Grok
Grok reads the live timeline, so the same thread that spots a trend can brief the campaign that rides it.
Trend to campaign in one thread
Spot something moving, then brief the campaign against it without changing tools.
Competitor creative read
What rivals are running right now, taken from the ad library rather than from what they say they are doing.
Fast performance check
Spend, leads and the biggest mover, asked in passing rather than as a reporting exercise.
Reactive budget move
Shift budget toward whatever the moment is rewarding, proposed as a change you approve.
Permissions, approvals and authentication
You sign in with OAuth and the connector acts on your workspace. No API keys in a config file, no shared service account, and revoking the grant kills the very next call.
| Action | When it happens | What that covers |
|---|---|---|
| Read an account | On request | Spend, performance, search terms, rankings, catalogue |
| Draft a change | On request | Campaigns, creative, budgets, pages and posts |
| Apply a change | Only on your approval | Grok returns the change as text; the approval waits for you in Sprites |
| Spend money | Only on your approval | New campaigns start paused unless you say otherwise |
| Revoke access | Instantly | The next call after a revoke fails, not the one after that |
Grok MCP questions
What is Grok Bot, and is it the same thing?
No. Grok Bot is xAI's persistent agent — it keeps working on its own computer across time rather than answering in a single turn, and it can use connectors where they are available and ask for approval when it needs it. A chat connector is the plumbing; Grok Bot is a different way of running work over it.
Should I use Grok Bot for marketing work?
Where the work is genuinely long-running, it fits. The Sprites approval model does not change: a persistent agent still cannot apply a change to a live account without you.
Is there a separate Grok Bot setup page?
Not yet, deliberately. There is no measured search demand for it and its setup is not different enough to justify a page that would mostly repeat this one.
Can it change my ad accounts on its own?
No. Reads happen on request; every write comes back as a change you approve first, and new campaigns start paused. Nothing is applied because a model decided it should be.
New Connector has no Custom option.
Bring-your-own MCP is a paid-tier feature, and on Business or Enterprise a workspace admin has to enable it first.
Point Grok at your ad accounts
One URL, one sign-in, and the next question you ask Grok about your marketing gets answered from the live account.
