Why it happens
The ad complies and was caught by automation
The ad complies and was caught by automation
One word, one image crop or a landing page read wrong. This is the case appeals exist for.
The ad breaks a policy you did not spot
An appeal on a real violation comes back rejected again. Read the named policy before you file.
The landing page, not the ad, is the problem
Review looks at the destination. An appeal on clean copy still fails if the page is broken or makes the claim instead.
The review was reset by an edit
Editing an ad while an appeal is open starts a fresh review and drops the appeal.
How to fix it, step by step
Read the policy first
Open the rejected ad in Ads Manager and note the policy named. Read that section of the Meta Advertising Standards and check the copy, the creative and the landing page against it.
Open Account Quality
Go to Business Support Home and open Account Quality for the ad account. Rejected ads are listed there with their reasons.
Request review
Select the rejected ad and choose Request review. Follow the prompts and submit.
Leave the ad alone
Do not edit, duplicate or republish it while the review runs. Most reviews finish within 24 hours.
If it comes back rejected, fix it
A second rejection is a clear answer. Change what the policy points at and publish the edited ad.

Sprites fixes this
Or let Sprites fix it
The appeal is yours to file in Account Quality. Sprites does the part before it: reads the reason and tells you whether to appeal or fix, and drafts the fix for you to approve.
What Sprites does
- Reads Meta’s review feedback, the creative and the destination on the rejected ad, so you appeal with the actual reason in front of you.
- When the ad does break the policy, proposes a corrected copy with the offending text, link or call to action changed, created paused, with the original paused.
- Turns the corrected copy on once you are happy with it.
What it doesn't do
- File the appeal in Account Quality
- Read Account Quality or account restrictions
Questions
Where is the Request review button?
In Account Quality, inside Business Support Home. Select the rejected ad and the option appears. It is not in the ad editor.
How long does an appeal take?
Most are answered within 24 hours. Some take a few days. Meta does not publish a fixed time.
Can I appeal the same ad twice?
Once a review confirms the rejection, a second appeal on the same ad rarely changes it. Fix the ad instead.
Can Sprites appeal for me?
No. Requesting a review is done by you in Account Quality. Sprites reads the reason and drafts a corrected ad if one is needed.
Is it faster to make a new ad?
Usually, if the ad really broke a policy. A corrected ad goes through normal review. Reposting the identical ad does not help and counts against the account.
- Why is my Facebook ad still in review?
- Facebook ad rejected for landing page
- Facebook ad rejected for misleading claims
- Facebook ad rejected for personal attributes
- Facebook ad rejected for special ad category
