Sign in with the Google account that owns the Ads account. Sprites is a Google Partner and uses Google’s OAuth — there is no developer token to paste into Muse.

A Sprites consent screen opens in the browser. Sign in with the account that holds the platform connection and approve what Muse may do.

The first time Muse calls a Sprites tool it asks. Choose “Allow for this task” for reads; Sprites holds every write for your approval regardless.

Ask Muse to save the working connector as a skill called Sprites, so “ask Sprites” works from any later conversation.

Connect Google Ads to Muse, answered
Why can Muse not connect to Google Ads directly?
Muse ships with no advertising connector of any kind. Meta’s built-in list covers inbox, calendar, shopping and a handful of productivity tools; Google Ads, Ads Manager and Campaign Manager are absent. A Custom Connector pointed at a service that already holds the account is the only route.
Do I need a Google Ads API developer token for Muse?
No. The Google Ads sign-in happens once inside Sprites through Partner OAuth. Muse holds a revocable grant to Sprites and never sees a Google credential, a developer token or a .yaml config. There is nothing to paste into the chat beyond the Sprites MCP URL.
What can Muse do with Google Ads once connected?
Through Sprites it can read spend, conversions, CPA, ROAS and search-term waste for any period, draft negatives and budget moves, and propose a Search or Performance Max build. New campaigns start paused. Nothing applies until you approve the card in Sprites.
Is this the same as Google’s own Ads MCP server?
No. Google’s official Ads MCP is read-only and self-hosted. The Sprites connector is a hosted endpoint that reaches Google Ads alongside Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok and Reddit through one sign-in, and it can propose writes that wait for approval. Muse cannot run a self-hosted server on your laptop anyway.
Can one Muse connector see several Google Ads accounts?
Yes, if those accounts are connected inside the same Sprites workspace. The grant Muse holds is to Sprites, not to a single Ads customer ID, so every account on the workspace is reachable from the same skill.

- Early testers report that an OAuth sign-in takes more back-and-forth in Muse than a static API key does. Sprites signs in with OAuth, and we are testing that handoff now.
Common questions
Where do I paste the Google Ads API key in Muse?
Nowhere. Muse never takes a Google Ads API key. Connect Google Ads in Sprites, then give Muse the Sprites MCP URL. An API key pasted into a chat is the wrong shape for this.
Will connecting Google Ads to Muse spend money on its own?
Not through Sprites. Every budget change, pause and new campaign arrives as a proposal. Muse can notice the waste; a person still clicks approve before anything spends.
Does this work on the Muse free plan?
Yes for the setup. Custom connectors draw on Muse’s weekly token allowance, and a daily multi-channel routine is where the free limit starts to pinch. Sprites has its own trial and paid plans.
