Muse × Sprites

Muse Scheduled Tasks for Marketing

Can Muse run a marketing report on a schedule?

Yes. Muse runs recurring tasks — daily check-ins, weekly summaries — until you cancel them, and each run appears in its Activity log. On its own, Muse has no ad data to report on. With a Custom Connector to Sprites, a single sentence sets up a Monday cross-channel brief written to Google Sheets, a daily pacing check that only speaks up when a campaign overspends, or a Friday sweep of wasted search terms.

Muse

Every Monday at 8am, send me last week’s ad performance.

  • Scheduled: every Monday, 8:00
  • Uses: Sprites · analyze
  • Writes to: “Ad report” sheet

Done — it’s in Upcoming. First run Monday. I’ll add a row per channel and flag anything that moved more than 20%.

Six routines worth handing to Muse

Each is one sentence to Muse once the Sprites connector is in place. The cadence is the part you choose; where it lands is the part that decides whether anyone reads it.

Every Monday→ Google Sheets

The weekly cross-channel brief

“Every Monday at 8am, ask Sprites how Google Ads, Meta and LinkedIn did last week against the week before, and write it to my “Ad report” sheet.”

Each runSpend, conversions and CPA per channel, the biggest mover named, one line on why.

Every morning→ A Muse message

Spend pacing

“Every weekday at 9am, check with Sprites whether any campaign is pacing more than 15% over its monthly budget. Only message me if one is.”

Each runSilence on a normal day. On a bad one, the campaign, the overspend and a proposed cap.

Every Friday→ Sprites approvals

The search-term sweep

“Every Friday, ask Sprites for search terms that spent over $50 this week with no conversions, and draft negatives for my approval.”

Each runGrouped negative themes with their cost, held in Sprites as an approval.

Every other week→ Google Docs

Creative fatigue check

“Every second Tuesday, ask Sprites which Meta ads have frequency over 3 and falling CTR, and suggest replacement angles.”

Each runThe individual ads turning, the day each one turned, three angles to test.

First of the month→ Notion

Rankings within reach

“On the 1st of each month, ask Sprites for Search Console queries ranking 5 to 15 with real impressions, and which page to improve for each.”

Each runQueries mapped to pages, with the one change most likely to move each.

Every Thursday→ Gmail draft

AI visibility

“Every Thursday, ask Sprites whether ChatGPT, Claude and Perplexity mention us for our category prompts, and who they name instead.”

Each runCitation rate by engine, the competitors cited, and the pages behind the gap.

Muse Scheduled Tasks for Marketing, answered

How do you schedule a task in Muse?

By asking. Say what to do and when — “every Monday at 8am” — and Muse confirms the schedule and lists the task under Upcoming. There is no cron syntax and no builder. To stop a routine, ask Muse to cancel it or remove it from Upcoming.

Which marketing reports are worth scheduling?

The ones already on your calendar. A weekly cross-channel brief, a daily spend-pacing check, a Friday search-term sweep, a fortnightly creative-fatigue check, a monthly look at rankings within reach, and a weekly check on whether AI engines cite you. Each needs live account data, which is what the Sprites connector supplies.

Where should a scheduled report land?

Somewhere a person already looks. Muse’s built-in connectors include Google Sheets, Docs, Gmail and Notion, so a report can be appended to a sheet, written up as a doc or drafted as an email to a client. A routine that only answers in a chat thread gets read twice and then ignored.

Can a scheduled task change a campaign on its own?

A scheduled run can propose a change, and through Sprites a proposal is all a run can make: the negative keywords or the budget cap wait in Sprites as an approval. The schedule does the noticing; a person still does the deciding, which is the right split for anything that spends money.

Should the schedule live in Muse or in Sprites?

Either works. A Muse routine suits a report you read in Muse, with its output routed to your own sheets and inbox. Sprites also runs scheduled tasks itself, which suits monitoring that should keep going whichever assistant you use this month. Many teams run the brief in Muse and the guardrails in Sprites.

03

The message that connects it

A custom connector has no settings form — Settings › Connectors only lists Meta’s built-ins. Paste this into any Muse conversation and it builds the integration, tests it, and saves it as a skill.

Build a custom connector to Sprites, my marketing operator.

Its MCP server is https://mcp.sprites.ai/mcp — a hosted, public HTTPS endpoint that speaks streamable HTTP. Connect to it, sign in when it asks, then list every tool it gives you and show me the results.

Once it works, save it as a reusable skill called "Sprites" so I can ask you about my ads and my site from any conversation.
Muse builds the connector itself, tests it, and saves it as a skill.

Muse: Connected to Sprites. I can see your ad accounts, analytics and site. Ask me anything about them — I’ll bring changes back for you to approve before anything is applied.

Where this stands

The same plain statement the main guide makes, because it belongs on every page that tells someone to paste something.

Live today

  • The Sprites connector is live at https://mcp.sprites.ai/mcp, over streamable HTTP with OAuth.
  • Thirteen other AI clients are connected to it today, with setup we have verified in each.
  • Every channel below is reachable through that one endpoint right now.

Not verified yet

  • Muse builds custom connectors from a hosted URL, which is exactly the shape we publish — but we have not yet walked a Muse setup end to end ourselves, so the message above is not a verified guide.
  • Early testers report that an OAuth sign-in takes more back-and-forth in Muse than a static API key does. Sprites signs in with OAuth, and we are testing that handoff now.
06

Common questions

Do scheduled tasks cost extra in Muse?

No separate charge. Each run draws on the weekly Muse token allowance: free, Power at $20 a month for 500M tokens a week, or Maximum at $100 for 3B. A daily multi-channel routine is where the free limit starts to pinch.

Does Muse run a scheduled task if my phone is off?

Yes. Muse works on its own Secure VM in Meta’s cloud, so a routine runs whether or not a device is open, and the result waits in the conversation and the Activity log.

How many recurring tasks can Muse run?

Meta does not publish a cap. The practical limit is the token allowance, and the useful limit is lower: five routines someone reads beat twenty nobody does.
